Where Can I Serve?

Just as Jesus told his disciples to make disciples of all nations, we believe that all Christians have a responsibility to witness and lead others to the saving grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.  This is the Great Commission that was given to the Church by Christ.  We also find that, according to Ephesians 4:11-13, “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:“.  God has called many to the work of Christ.

One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries including serving the needy, preparing the church bulletins and welcoming both members and visitors alike to the services.

Mission Outreach

Forts Lake Assembly is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in supporting missionaries with our money and with our prayers.  We also give and provide funding to build churches in various remote regions of the world.

Along with global missions, we also host and participate in local missions such as jail ministries, senior living ministries, and several other outreach programs.

Music

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. Others are involved in the choir. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of our church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.

Ushers

The usher team at our church fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, unlocking doors, locking doors, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher team is a servant-hearted group of men whose ministry is integral to church life.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Our Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Throughout the week, volunteers pray for the pastor, church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs. Each Monday, members of the church come together for a special time of prayer.
